🎥 Michele Answers Your Questions I’m sharing clips from local City Council Candidate Forums where I answer community questions and discuss the issues facing RPV. Today’s question: Why am I running for City Council? I believe informed decisions start with open conversations. I hope these clips help you get to know me, my priorities, and my approach to moving RPV forward. 📍 From Candidate Forum #3, hosted by the League of Women Voters and PVP AAUW. Stay tuned for more!

Thank you to everyone who came out to the final RPV City Council Candidate Forum. I’m grateful for the thoughtful questions and the opportunity to share my perspective on the issues facing our city. My answers reflect the work I’ve already been doing in our community and my commitment to finding thoughtful, practical solutions for RPV. I’ve advocated for my neighborhood, helped turn ideas into action, and I’m ready to bring that same dedication to City Hall. One question during the forum raised an important issue that I want to clarify for residents. Four of the six candidates have been endorsed by Long Point Development (Terranea). I am not one of them. I believe voters deserve to understand the different perspectives and priorities each candidate brings to the table. I encourage you to visit my website to learn more about me, my priorities, and my perspective on issues like the Housing Element and the importance of local control. I believe an informed community is a stronger community, and I hope you’ll take the time to get to know me and my vision for RPV. ✅ Learn more at michelecarbone4rpv.com (link in bio). Thanks to all the folks who stopped by my table after too! I really enjoyed meeting you.

Why am I running for City Council? Because I believe RPV is ready for a fresh approach. I’m ready to listen, look at the data, focus on solutions, and help move our city forward.

When it comes to the Housing Element, I believe I’m the candidate on the panel who knows this issue best. And there’s a reason I say that. I’ve been deeply involved in the Housing Element and Our Neighborhood Voices organization as Boardmember. I’ve also seen firsthand how these decisions can affect our neighborhoods, infrastructure, and quality of life. So what does the Housing Element really mean for Rancho Palos Verdes? ▶️ Watch the clip to hear my perspective.

Another great opportunity to connect with RPV residents! On September 27, I joined fellow candidates for a City Council Candidate Forum hosted by the Ladera Linda HOA at the Ladera Linda Community Center. Having participated in my first forum recently, I felt much more comfortable this time around and truly enjoyed the opportunity to share my perspective and hear from our community. A sincere thank you to the Ladera Linda HOA for hosting and bringing our community together for an important conversation. Here’s a clip from my two-minute introduction in case you missed it.

This campaign is personal to me. I believe in Rancho Palos Verdes and want to help build an exciting future for our city, together. I’m running for Rancho Palos Verdes City Council because I believe in what we can accomplish when we come together. As a neighbor, I care deeply about the future of our community. As a leader, I want to help bring people together to tackle the challenges our city is facing. My goal is simple: unite our neighbors, work together across the Peninsula, and stay focused on the issues that matter most to our community. ✅ Learn more about my campaign: michelecarbone4rpv.com
